The Avon River CSA is farmed and managed by Amy Lounder at Red Fox Farm. Located in Centre Burlington, Nova Scotia, the farm is an hour from Halifax and situated on the banks of the Cogmagun River.

The land has been managed organically for the last 15 years and Amy's growing methods reflect two apprenticeships as an organic and biodynamic farmer.

CSA:

Community Supported Agriculture:

A complete system of farming and distribution. Households purchase a share of the season's crops in advance, assisting the farmer in covering the up-front costs of that season's farming. In exchange the farmer provides a regular delivery of organically grown produce to its member households. The relationship between the farmer and the members is a rare opportunity to directly support rural livelihood, land-stewardship and get some super fresh veggies!
